Preparing For The Closing - Buyer
Congratulations on the impending purchase of your new home! In order to prepare for the purchase we are providing you with a list of things you’ll need to bring to closing. All of these items must be presented at closing!
FOR A CONDO/TOWNHOUSE PURCHASE:
- Bank Certified Check (call closing office 2 days before closing for amount)
- Certificate of Insurance (Master Insurance Policy from Condo Management)
- License or Picture ID
FOR ALL OTHER PURCHASES:
- Bank Certified Check (call closing office 2 days before closing for amount)
- Original Insurance Binder (from your insurance company)

UTILITIES:
You should plan to make all of your utility calls about one week prior to closing. Have them turn off the service at your present home and turn on the service at your new home on the day of the closing. A few utility numbers are listed below. We are also providing you with a “Town Phone Numbers” list. The sellers are responsible for having the utilities turned off on the day of closing so call the utility companies and have them switch the utility to your name as of the day of closing.
