The Re/Max Difference!

Traditional Office . . . . Agent

Re/Max Agent . . . . . . . . Office

Full-time, experienced, seasoned agents as well as part-time agents!

Re/Max employs only full-time, experienced, seasoned agents! We do not have part-time agents or agents-in-training.  If you don't already know the business then you can't work here.

No one person is totally in-charge of all aspects of listing!

The individual listing agent is 100% in-charge of all marketing and sales aspects!

Properties are advertised in publications selected by the "office"!

Ads are placed anywhere and everywhere at the discretion of the agent.  Whatever medium provides the best exposure of the property!

Traditional offices typically run a new listing for a couple of weeks, then it is placed in "rotation"!

Homes are advertised simultaneously in a wide variety of mediums, a veritable marketing "blitz"!  They continue to be advertised until sold!

The individual agent cannot make important marketing decisions without "office" input.  The business of selling real estate is mired in the red tape of corporate and/or office "structure"!

The listing agent has full control over every aspect of the listing!

Ad calls go to the "up" broker who works according to office-assigned time slots!

These agents may never have seen the property (inside or out!) that the buyer is calling about.

.

They may know nothing about its location, setting or neighborhood!

Agents that do not have first-hand knowledge of the property may not pass along accurate in-formation to prospective buyers. Sellers can be held liable for mis-information by agents!

All calls go directly to the listing agent - the person with first-hand knowledge of the property, its location, its amenities and all of its important details!

Traditional Office agents (new and experienced) typically use "up-time" to help them build their business.  The "up-time" agent, therefore, may be more concerned with getting the buyer to work with them than selling your home!

Re/Max does not have "up-time"! There are no agents-in-training! Agents are responsible for building their own business. Calls about your home go directly to the person most motivated to sell it, the listing agent!

Shared "pass-the-buck" office/agent accountability.
The listing agent is 100% accountable for all aspects of selling and marketing your property!

The traditional office and agent may "lock" the property up with a lengthy listing agreement.  The listing agreement is a legal, binding document which is in effect for the duration of the contract regardless of performance!

Continued listing time is determined by the seller and is based upon the effort and performance of the agent!
Many traditional office agents use national and regional statistics to "help" their personal and office image.
Fancy graphs mixed with national and regional statistics do not sell homes. A listing agent with a specific marketing plan does!
